1. Meeting 2009
:

On
May 23 and 24, 2009 in Alma, on the area of Saguenay - Lake-St-John, It
will be the 20th gathering of our Association, which was created in this
same place on September 16, 1989.

Projects :

2010:
Area of l' Outaouais or of Laurentides or Châteauguay…:

The
objective will be undoubtedly to allow the descendants of Claude
Dufour and Madeleine Leroux to gather more, to supplement their researches
on their history and genealogy.
-
Also
it will be possible to the descendants of Pierre
Dufour said Bonvivant to associate more in our Association.
Guy Carpenter, from this line, will present the results of his
researches.
-
Marie-Paule and Françoise
Dufour and Guy Charpentier will associate
assistances for the preparation of this activity.
3. Gathering 2008
:
-
We
were invited to Ste-Anne-of-Beaupré for this 20th gathering of the
history of our Association of the Dufour Families of America.
-
The
activities of our gathering proceeded as envisaged by the organizing
committee directed by Henri Dufour. Approximately 75 people attended
the general meeting of the members, held in afternoon, with in the chair
Mrs. Léonie Girard and Gaetan Dufour.
-
During
this meeting, The Executive members gave informations about the activities
of the previous year: meeting of May 2007 in the Grande Ferme of
St-Joachim, Meeting of the administrators on September 2007, preparation
of the gathering of 2008.
-
Also
the secretary treasurer, Mr. Gerard Dufour, presented the financial
reporting 2007, where the members noted a deficit of 840,34 $. Also, the
secretary indicated a fall of our membership which is reduced to
approximately 225 members in rule. It will be necessary in the future to
take care to find the new members.
-
A
long time was given to the presentation of Guy Charpentier relating the
attractive history of his ancestor Pierre Dufour said Bonvivant and
Charlotte Gloria said Desrochers or Roc: this history was unknown
by the members of the Association, which assessed highly the quality
of this presentation.
-
Then
an other presentation was made; a work of the Artist Painter Yvonne
Bolduc.
-
Finally
the attending members paid a homage to the couple Gerard and Lorraine,
which hold the secrétatriat since ten years, and which
unfortunately think of giving up this heavy task.
-
The
elections brought two new administrators : Guy Charpentier and Hébert
Dufour.
-

Sunday May 18, took place a religious celebration, chaired by the priest
Andre Dufour,
-
The
brunch followed. In afternoon, by the Royal Way, 20 people went on the
principal sites of the history of the Ancestor Gabriel-Robert Dufour: The
commemorative church of Ste-Anne, the ancestral house and the monument of
Beaupré, and the ruins of the 1st church of St-Joachim where Robert
Dufour contracted his two marriages in 1694 and 1703.

by the name of
the head of household. Also for the families of Claude Dufour.

the Book, these
4 INDICES are inserted in the pages
which follow each one of these 4 lines, thus making it possible more quickly
to target these families in the preceding pages.

that means One
file of 4 pages in 3 columns;
In that of Bonaventure,
One file of 6 pages
out of 3 columns, and in the line of Gabriel, two
files of 6 and 8 pages out of 3 columns. For the line of Claude, two pages on
